Peter boasts significant experience in insurance, construction, property, and commercial dispute resolution and litigation.
In terms of his vast insurance experience, Peter has acted for public liability insurers, professional indemnity insurers, self insured corporations, and local governments. Peter also has significant experience in construction and project contract preparation, payment claims, and dispute resolution for developers and contractors. In addition to his experience in insurance and construction, over many years Peter has gained extensive experience in commercial and property litigation and dispute resolution.
Peter provides approachable and personalised service which is flexible and responsive. Peter uses his extensive experience to identify and adopt innovative and commercial strategies at the outset of every dispute so they can be resolved efficiently and cost effectively with the commercial outcome being paramount.
Peter is an eager advocate of and has an active interest in alternative dispute resolution. He has training and experience in mediation and negotiation, regularly appearing at mediations and settlement conferences, but also has advised and represented many clients in all courts and tribunals. Peter has presented papers on assessing damages, setting reserves, and the ever changing insurance compensation legislation.
